ICG
RECRUITMENT GROUP
A website redesign,
adverts, business card and 20
page marketing report were created
for this Christchurch-based recruitment
firm, which complemented the company’s
new "attitude" brand
style.
ICG approached Electric Escape
with the aim of updating their
old (and tired) site to better
reflect their new corporate brand.
Their old website was plain and
functional at best. It had no
attractive aesthetic to draw viewers
in. The look that ICG were hoping
to achieve through branding was
one of excitement, fun and funkiness,
to go along with their slogan
"it's all about attitude".

Challenges
One of the most
important improvements was to
build on the original colour scheme.
With the branding blue and white,
orange and a darker grey/blue
were added. A new set of branding
images to fit with the recruitment
process, but provide that "attitude"
flavour were a main part of the
design.
The original website featured
a number of pages with a large
amount of small body text and
long scrolling pages. While the
information was still required
in the website, Electric Escape
came up with better ways to navigate
through this information, using
thumbnail images and an additional
navigation menu on the side of
some pages.
Ultimately, the ICG brand is about
getting the message across visually.
The colors, content, and layout
were all carefully chosen to work
well on screen.

20 Page
A5 Report
After
the website was completed,
ICG received many compliments
on their new look. So then
Electric Escape set to work
on creating a 20 page A5
report for ICG, which would
be sent to employers and
companies to give helpful
tips on the entire recruitment
process. Since the book
would be printed in black
and white it was of great
importance that layout and
design alone would reflect
the ICG brand, and with
heavy use of photography,
it succeeded.

A set
of three different adverts
in various sizes were created
using the same branding
style as the website.
Finally, double-sided, clean
business cards were the
final touch.
