What is it that makes this map
so incredibly suspenseful and immersive? Is
it the gameplay? Monster placement is outstanding,
and the enhancements to some of the enemies
make them much tougher to deal with - but not
gameplay alone. Is it the environmentals? The
subdued tones add to the atmosphere of menace,
and the subtle but definitely different feel
to the architecture adds to the feel, but not
that alone. Nor is it layout, which is not confusing,
and fairly - though not completely - linear,
while quite extensive in the first map. No,
it is the brilliant combination of all three
that melds into a seamless whole that will grip
you from beginning to end.
