I played Freeman's Revenge
and thought it was quite a good level. But I
think it was a little over-rated - there is
better stuff. So when MOM arrived I was expecting
it to be good, but not THAT good. My expectations
were exact. For seven maps it could have been
a little longer. For the first two maps there
was no killing to be done! MOM isn't the most
fun level around, but it still was pretty good.
The best thing about it was the design. Very
professional looking, and there are no boring
looking areas. The textures are all used nicely.
The bridge (screenshot) was a very nice area,
as was the rocket. I also enjoyed the special
effects Dave put in - such as the big dum baby,
and the alien ship. This is one of the best
Half-life levels around!
